This is me, I am 28 years old, happily married, and "normal" by most standards.

 

In the medical world there is an adage "When you hear hoofbeats think horses, not zebras." This saying is used to demonstrate that the solution to most problems is usually the simplest, most obvious answer. After all, horses are common, while zebras are rare. And doctors are taught not to go chasing zebras, when horses are everywhere.

 

But here I am, a living, breathing, "Medical Zebra." My answer was not simple, or common...But I had a very difficult time convincing the doctors that I wasn't just another "horse."
